View original imageAccording to the status of travel reservations to Korea announced by the global travel platform Trip.com on the 14th, the number of overseas travelers visiting Korea during the 'BTS Festa' period from the 12th to the 25th, held to commemorate BTS's 10th debut anniversary, increased by 13% compared to the same period last month. It also increased by 4.5% compared to the two weeks before the Festa period.
During the BTS Festa period, the overseas regions that visit Seoul the most are Japan, followed by China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Macao, the United States, Australia, and Vietnam, forming the top ranks. The district with the highest accommodation reservation rate in Seoul was Jung-gu, where Myeongdong is located, followed by Mapo-gu, Gangnam-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Jongno-gu, Seocho-gu, Yongsan-gu, Songpa-gu, Seodaemun-gu, and Gangseo-gu.
During this year's BTS Festa period, Seoul's representative landmarks such as City Hall, Namsan Tower, and Sebitseom will be dyed in BTS's symbolic color, purple. Various cultural and marketing events for ARMY visiting Korea, such as the issuance of commemorative stamps and BTS goods sales exhibitions, will also be held.
