Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Holds 3rd Gwangju Admission Parent Academy Special Lecture
At 7 PM on the 21st at the Education Research Information Center
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 14th that it will hold the 3rd Gwangju College Admission Parent Academy Special Lecture on the 21st at 7 p.m. under the theme "Basic Preparation for Early Admission Counseling with Your Child."
The venue is the first-floor auditorium of the Education Research Information Center next to the Metropolitan Office of Education. The "Gwangju College Admission Parent Academy" was established to alleviate parents' anxiety about college admissions by inviting nationwide admission experts to provide accurate admission information amid the changing admission environment.
In particular, moving beyond simple briefings, the event plans to allow free on-site Q&A based on pre-submitted questions.
In April, Seongjun Lee, Gwangju College Admission Officer, covered the general overview of university admissions under the theme "Escape from Complete Beginner in College Admissions."
In May, Jeongrim Lee, Chief Admission Officer at Konkuk University, conducted a lecture titled "Talking about the Evaluation of the Comprehensive Student Record Screening," focusing on the evaluation perspective of school life records.
Each session attracted over 300 parents, showing great enthusiasm, and parent satisfaction with the past two lectures was very high.
This academy session will be led by Seojeon Kwon, Director of the Gwangju Career and Admission Support Group (teacher at Seolwol Girls' High School), who will address parents' questions about the early admission screening and university-specific admission results announced by various universities in May.
Those wishing to participate can register online in advance or on-site on the day of the event.
Superintendent Jeongseon Lee stated, "Gwangju education will not give up on a single child and aims to be a source of hope for our precious students," adding, "We will continue to prepare excellent lectures so that the Gwangju College Admission Parent Academy can be helpful to students and parents preparing for college admission."
