Over 130 Brands of Coffee, Desserts, Ready Meals, and Fresh Foods Participate
Offering Various Experiences Including Tastings, Prizes, and Photo Zones
Kurly is hosting its first offline festival in eight years since its service launch.
Kurly announced on the 13th that it will hold the '2023 Kurly Food Festa' from the 6th to the 9th of next month at Art Hall 1 and 2 of Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul.
The event will feature 85 of Kurly's representative partner companies showcasing over 130 food and beverage (F&B) brands. Each booth will offer various experiences such as tastings, on-site sales, samples, and giveaways. It is described as an opportunity to experience firsthand Kurly's expertise, sincerity, and curation capabilities in food products that have previously only been accessible online.
The venue is divided into three zones. The 'Kurly Best Zone' will host booths from 53 brand partners loved by Kurly customers, including CJ, Maeil, Pulmuone, Fritz, Samjin Fish Cake, and Belgioioso. The 'Kurly Only Zone' consists of 32 partner booths that can only be found on Kurly, such as Blue Bottle, Mokran, Forby Bagel, Wood & Brick, and Greek Day. In the 'Kurly Brand Zone,' visitors can explore Kurly's own brand products like KF365 and Kurly’s, as well as curated projects such as the 'Scarcity Value Project' and 'Taste Finding Set,' which embody Kurly’s vision and philosophy for the food business. A large photo zone will be set up at the entrance, and the first 20,000 visitors will receive a limited edition Kurly Purple Reusable Bag.
Meanwhile, during the Festa from the 6th to the 8th at DDP, Kurly will also hold the '2023 Kurly Food Conference,' which will explore the future of Korea’s food business. The first day will focus on the forefront of food business innovation, the second day will highlight business trends for the next three years, and the third day will feature vivid stories from partner companies that have grown alongside Kurly, such as Salad Panda and Mija Unnie’s.
Kurly CEO Kim Seul-ah, Chief Commerce Officer Choi Jae-hoon, Chief Technology Officer Ryu Hyung-kyu, as well as leading experts in Korea’s food business including Professor Moon Jeong-hoon of Seoul National University Food Business Lab, Kiwoom Securities researcher Park Sung-joon, CJ CheilJedang division head Choi Ja-eun, LG CNS Smart Logistics Division head Lee Junho, and Pulmuone executive director Park Jong-hee will take the stage. On the 6th, two Kurly MD leaders and on the 7th, three Kurly MD leaders will also hold a tenant briefing roundtable.
Tickets for the Festa and Conference are currently available on the Kurly application (app) at early bird prices discounted by 35% and 40%, respectively. Ticket purchasers will receive a coupon that offers a 5,000 KRW discount on purchases over 25,000 KRW in an online sales promotion linked to the event. Conference ticket holders can attend the Kurly Food Festa for free and, if desired, have a one-on-one consultation opportunity with Kurly MDs.
