Samsung Heavy Industries Wins Order for 2 LNG Carriers Worth 659.2 Billion KRW
This Year's Goal: $9.5 Billion... 34% Achieved
Samsung Heavy Industries announced on the 13th that it has secured orders for two LNG carriers from a North American shipping company, totaling 659.2 billion KRW.
These vessels are scheduled to be delivered sequentially by February 2028.
With this order, Samsung Heavy Industries increased its cumulative orders for this year to 3.2 billion USD, achieving 34% of its 9.5 billion USD target.
Since the beginning of this year, Samsung Heavy Industries has secured a total of nine vessels, including six LNG carriers, two crude oil carriers, and one FLNG unit.

Samsung Heavy Industries' order backlog, including this contract, stands at a total of 27 billion USD (147 vessels). Among these, LNG carriers account for 70% (87 vessels, 18.8 billion USD).
