Garak Mall Theme Building Transforms into a Specialized Restaurant Zone After One Year of Preparation
Customers Can Purchase Fresh Meat and Sashimi Directly from Garak Mall’s Livestock and Seafood Markets and Enjoy Them at the Restaurants
Set to Become a New Culinary Destination
After about one year of preparation, the Garak Mall Theme Building officially reopened as a specialized restaurant zone on June 9.
The relocation of the existing restaurant zone to the Theme Building was promoted to revitalize Garak Mall by gradually converting the Theme Building into a food and beverage and lifestyle convenience space.
The Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Moon Young-pyo) introduced and is gradually implementing the ‘Garak Mall Standard MD Plan and Design Management System’ to transform Garak Mall into a customer-centered shopping mall, alongside the restaurant zone relocation.
The relocation of the Theme Building restaurant zone was carefully reviewed through the MD plan and involved multiple consultations to gain merchants’ consensus. Based on a design guideline for creating a favorable commercial environment in the Theme Building, interior and exterior construction was completed, and now all businesses have relocated and are operating their restaurants.
The Theme Building specialized restaurant zone allows customers to purchase fresh meat and sashimi directly from Garak Mall’s livestock and seafood markets and enjoy them on-site, making it a new culinary hotspot.
In Theme Building 2, there are charcoal-grilled meat marinade restaurants and general eateries including ▲Haedam ▲Ika ▲Four Brothers ▲24 Market Sundaeguk, while Building 3 houses ▲Sashimi Marinade Restaurant and cafes such as ▲Sojeong ▲Damijeong ▲Ediya, and Building 4 operates sashimi marinade restaurants including ▲Hangang ▲Seongjeon ▲Jeongdong ▲Garak Madang ▲Yujeong Restaurant.
The corporation supports early commercial revitalization of the Theme Building specialized restaurant zone through various channels such as a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 9 to celebrate the opening, large banner postings, supporter experiences, and blog promotions.
