Jeongeup-si Increases Relocation Support Fund... Up to 400,000 Won Per Person
Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk Province will increase the moving-in support fund for first-time movers to up to 400,000 KRW per person starting this year.
The city announced on the 12th that it will raise the support fund by 100,000 KRW to enhance the effectiveness of the system amid rising living costs.
The recipients are general residents, students, and soldiers who have been registered residents in other cities or counties for over a year and have moved to Jeongeup City, residing there for more than six months.
First, the city will provide 150,000 KRW worth of Onnuri gift certificates per general resident who moves in.
Moving-in students (middle, high school, and university) will receive a one-time cash payment of 150,000 KRW initially, and 50,000 KRW every six months, up to a maximum of 400,000 KRW.
Moving-in soldiers (professional soldiers stationed at local military units) will receive a one-time Onnuri gift certificate worth 150,000 KRW initially, and gift certificates worth 50,000 KRW every six months.
Moving-in soldiers can receive up to 400,000 KRW worth of Onnuri gift certificates.
A city official said, “We decided to increase the support to help new residents settle in the community.”
