Namhae-gun to Hold 50th Anniversary Event for Namhae Bridge Opening

Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam, will hold a commemorative event for the 50th anniversary of the opening of Namhae Bridge on the 22nd from 10:30 AM at Namhae Bridge and the surrounding Namhaegak area.
Namhae Bridge began construction in May 1968 and was completed in June 1973. It is the oldest suspension bridge in Korea, connecting Noryang-ri, Seolcheon-myeon, Namhae-gun, and Noryang-ri, Geumnam-myeon, Hadong-gun. At the time of its construction, it was the largest suspension bridge in East Asia. It was also the starting point for Namhae-gun's rise as a tourist city and has been a beloved bridge for the residents of Namhae-gun for the past 50 years.
Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam, will hold a commemorative event on the 22nd to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Namhae Bridge.

The "Namhae Bridge Walking Event" is an event to recreate the scene at the time of the opening, which was crowded due to the story that crossing the bridge once brings health and longevity.
For safety reasons, only applicants who have pre-registered before the event can participate in the walking event.
