Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do has selected 13 “local specialty restaurants” that have a local flavor and serve delicious food.

According to the county on the 12th, local specialty restaurants are general restaurants that sell foods with local characteristics prepared using agricultural, marine, and special products produced in Jindo, and this was the first time they were selected this year.

The Jindo-gun local specialty restaurants were selected by a review committee to promote restaurants with local flavor and delicious food in Jindo to tourists, aiming to stimulate the local economy along with food tourism. The certificate awarding ceremony was held on the 8th.

The county plans to provide various benefits to the designated local specialty restaurants, such as producing designation plaques and promoting them on SNS, and will also conduct follow-up management of the restaurants regarding taste, hygiene, and friendly service.

County Governor Kim Hee-su said, “Through the selection of local specialty restaurants representing Jindo-gun, we will discover local and distinctive restaurants and induce revitalization of the stagnant local economy. We will also continue to strive to improve the level of establishments by enhancing service, hygiene, and friendliness for tourists.”
