Iran's Supreme Leader: "Nuclear Agreement Possible with the West"
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, stated that a nuclear agreement with the West is possible if peaceful nuclear activities are guaranteed.
According to local Iranian media on the 11th (local time), Khamenei attended the 'Nuclear Achievements Exhibition' held in Tehran and said, "If Iran's nuclear industry infrastructure is maintained, there will be no problem with a nuclear agreement with the West."
He explained, "The claim that Iran will make nuclear weapons is a lie," adding, "If Iran had intended to make nuclear weapons, no one could have stopped it. The reason Iran does not make nuclear weapons is based on religious beliefs."
This emphasized that Iran's nuclear activities are conducted for peaceful purposes under cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
