Jeju Haevichi Art Festival, 'Exhibition Exchange Cooperation' Program for Visual Arts Development
On the 13th, Theme of Exchange Cooperation and Exhibition Value Expansion
At the 16th Jeju Haevichi Art Festival, a networking program for exhibition exchange and cooperation targeting cultural and artistic professionals will be held.
The Korea Culture and Arts Centers Association (President Lee Seung-jeong, hereinafter referred to as KOKAKA) announced on the 11th that it will hold a networking event titled "The Value and Dissemination of Exhibitions for the Activation of Sustainable Visual Arts Distribution" at 1 p.m. on the 13th at the Ruby Hall of Jeju Haevichi Hotel & Resort.
This event will be hosted by Choi Mi-kyung, head of the Cultural Business Team at Hanam Cultural Foundation, and will include "Two Special Lectures on Exhibition Prospects" and "Presentations of Outstanding Exhibition Cases."
The special lectures will focus on predicting exhibition prospects after 2024, providing a serious approach to exhibitions changing based on digital technology after the pandemic, and explaining the value and dissemination of exhibitions through the activation of sustainable visual arts distribution.
Professor Park Jae-yeon of the Department of Cultural Contents at Ajou University will deliver a keynote speech titled "Exhibitions for Everyone: DIGITAL & COMMUNITY," and Kim Young-min, CEO of Gana OK, will give a lecture on "Suggestions for the Activation of Sustainable Visual Arts Distribution."
In the presentation of outstanding exhibition cases, Kim Hee-soo, head of Exhibition Operations at the National Hangeul Museum, will share the touring exhibition case of the National Hangeul Museum titled "Blue Heart White Heart" under the theme "National and Public Touring Exhibition Cases: The Value and Dissemination of Exhibitions."
Jo Han-ik, head of the Performance Planning Team at Andong Culture & Arts Center, will introduce exhibition cases from the exhibition space activation support project at Andong Culture & Arts Center under the theme "Touring Exhibition Cases of Arts Centers: The Value and Dissemination of Exhibitions."
At the end of the event, a Q&A session will be held to gather opinions on exhibition prospects and exhibition space activation support projects, aiming to derive improvement tasks and explore development plans.
KOKAKA is an affiliated organization of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism established in 1996 to promote cooperation among arts centers and the advancement of culture and arts. It operates the "Exhibition Space Activation Support Project," which expands exhibition programs concentrated in the metropolitan area to local regions to increase the utilization rate of idle local exhibition spaces, and the "Exhibition Interpretation Personnel Support Project," which provides art-related jobs to establish a self-sustaining living foundation for artists.

Lee Seung-jeong, president of KOKAKA, said, "Through the exhibition exchange and cooperation networking linked with the 16th Jeju Haevichi Art Festival, we aim to strengthen the expertise of visual arts for arts centers, art groups, and cultural and artistic professionals, and seek cooperation plans through sharing outstanding exhibition cases."
