Yeongdeungpo-gu Supports Safety Inspection Costs for Reconstruction
From July, Support for Reconstruction Safety Inspection Costs for 3 Complexes with Completed On-Site Investigations
Supplementary Budget of 320 Million KRW Allocated, Agreement Signed on Support Costs... Minimizing Conflicts Among Residents
‘Yeongdeungpo-Type Residential Maintenance Management Plan Establishment Service’ Scheduled... Focusing on Supplying Quality Housing
Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that starting from July this year, it will support reconstruction safety inspection costs amounting to approximately 320 million KRW for three complexes that have completed on-site investigations for reconstruction safety inspections.
Following the revision of the ‘Seoul Metropolitan City Urban and Residential Environment Maintenance Ordinance’ in March this year, the legal basis was established for autonomous districts to support reconstruction safety inspection costs once.
Since January this year, the standards for reconstruction safety inspections have been relaxed, and the number of aged apartment complexes reaching the reconstruction eligibility period has increased, leading to a surge in demand for reconstruction to improve residential environments.
Accordingly, the district has allocated about 320 million KRW as a supplementary budget to support complexes requiring reconstruction safety inspection costs.
Upon obtaining the consent of the majority of landowners and others, the district will support all or part of the costs necessary for the safety inspection once, on the condition that the costs are refunded before the approval of the project implementation plan. Specific support costs, deadlines, and refund methods will be determined through agreements between the district and the associations.
The district expects that this project will minimize conflicts among apartment residents caused by residents bearing the full cost of reconstruction safety inspections and reduce the fundraising period, thereby contributing to the prompt advancement of reconstruction projects.
Currently, six complexes in Yeongdeungpo-gu have completed on-site investigations for reconstruction safety inspections, and two complexes are undergoing safety inspections.
Additionally, the district is preparing the ‘Yeongdeungpo-Type Residential Maintenance Management Plan Establishment Service’ for residential area maintenance unique to Yeongdeungpo. The plan aims to establish an integrated guideline for future-oriented residential area maintenance and management that aligns with Yeongdeungpo’s identity to stably promote urban maintenance projects such as redevelopment and reconstruction.
