Goheung-gun to Train Digital Small Business Owners

Support Up to 2 Million Won for Digital Device Adoption

Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that it will promote the ‘2023 Digital Small Business Owner 10,000 Training’ project to nurture digital small business owners.

The Digital Small Business Owner 10,000 Training project is a program that supports the introduction costs of digital devices to enhance the competitiveness of small business owners in the region as digital transformation such as online orders accelerated due to COVID-19.

The support target is small business owners under the ‘Small Business Protection and Support Act,’ who are currently operating normally in Gohung-gun with annual sales of 1 billion KRW or less as of the application date.

The support includes purchase and rental fees for table orders, digital menu boards, waiting boards, unmanned vending machines, serving robots, kiosks, etc., providing up to 2 million KRW excluding a 20% self-payment.

The subsidy is paid after the selected small business owners prepay the entire project cost through the application and submit supporting documents, which are then verified on-site by the county.

Applications are open until June 30, and required documents include the application form, business registration certificate or business registration certificate copy, consent form for collection and use of personal credit information, and sales proof documents.

A county official said, “This project can improve the operational efficiency of small business owners’ stores, who find it difficult to hire many employees, by converting to digital devices in stores,” adding, “We hope that local small business owners will strengthen their competitiveness and stabilize management through support from this project.”
