Korea Expressway Corporation Partners with Private Sector to Develop Integrated Manual for Uganda Highways
Korea Expressway Corporation announced on the 8th that it will officially launch the 'Uganda Highway Integrated Manual Development Project.'

View original imageThis project is part of the Uganda free aid program led by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and will be carried out in cooperation with the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) over approximately three years.
Korea Expressway Corporation (lead company, 53%) plans to develop an integrated manual for highway planning, design, and maintenance in Uganda together with private companies Dohwa Engineering (31%) and Jeil Engineering (16%). The project will establish an efficient management system for key facilities such as bridges and also promote capacity-building training for local experts and invitation-based training programs.

Korea Expressway Corporation has been recognized for its technical expertise through the master plan consulting project for Uganda highway development since 2019. A representative from the corporation stated, "Along with developing the Uganda Highway Integrated Manual, we will continuously discover follow-up projects such as overseas road operation and management," adding, "We will actively support domestic private companies with excellent technology to enter overseas markets in the future."
