At Dong-A University, Lee Seok-hwan, head of the Department of Computer and AI Engineering, is responsible for the project. To cultivate AI and SW specialists, the Departments of Computer Engineering and AI are participating, and to foster AI and SW convergence talents, the Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Mathematics, and Media Communication are involved, with the project running through 2030.
Industry-academia cooperation project institutions, domestic and international partner universities, specialized organizations, government agencies, related associations, and external experts are also participating in the project, and the participating departments are expected to expand further.
Dong-A University plans to innovate its educational system by establishing a ‘College of Software’ to cultivate AI and SW specialists, strengthen SW major education through projects such as the ‘D-Lab-based Demonstration Industry-Academia Cooperation Project’ centered on the Dong-A SW Cooperative, and expand SW convergence education by operating AI and SW convergence majors and convergence micro-modules within the College of Convergence.
Additionally, the university plans to share and disseminate educational outcomes based on an open AI infrastructure and the interactive sharing, collaboration, and dissemination platform ‘D-Hub.’
