Discussion on Enhancing Military Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific Region
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Kim Seung-gyeom met with German Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (Army General) Karsten Breuer at the Yongsan Ministry of National Defense building to discuss ways to enhance military cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff on the 5th, Chairman Breuer visited Asia last week in conjunction with the 20th Asia Security Conference (Shangri-La Dialogue) held in Singapore, and visited Korea for the first time as the German Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The two chairmen expressed concern over the prolonged war in Ukraine and agreed that Korea and Germany, as value-sharing countries, will work together for the stability of Europe and world peace.
