Three Foreign Workers Arrested for Drug Use and Trafficking
The Mokpo Maritime Police Station in Jeonnam announced on the 3rd that they have arrested three illegal foreign workers for violating the Narcotics Control Act and the Immigration Control Act by using, selling, or possessing narcotics.
They are suspected of using narcotics or possessing dried marijuana at a residence for foreign workers in Jeonnam around 8 p.m. on the 1st. The amount of marijuana they possessed at the time of arrest was 25g. It was found that they worked as daily laborers at a local fisheries business and used drugs together at their residence.
The maritime police received a tip that illegal foreign workers were using or selling narcotics and conducted a stakeout investigation, which led to the arrests.
