Mesh Korea Renames to 'Boorung' and Starts Growth Engine
Hy Investment Management Division Director Cha Yoon-seo Appointed Co-CEO
hy (formerly Korea Yakult) and Mesh Korea (CEO Kim Hyung-seol), which completed their corporate merger, are gearing up to strengthen their business capabilities for sustainable growth. First, they will change their company name to reinforce their last-mile delivery business centered on two-wheeled vehicles and to expand their market influence.
Mesh Korea announced on the 2nd that it held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and approved the agenda to change its company name to 'Booroong.' Booroong is the delivery service brand that Mesh Korea has provided to corporate clients and local stores over the past 10 years. The company plans to adopt the well-known Booroong as its company name to broaden its influence in the two-wheeled delivery market.
The company is also focusing on strengthening expertise in management alongside growth. To this end, they appointed Chae Yun-seo, Director of hy Investment Management Division, as co-CEO. Current CEO Kim Hyung-seol will oversee business and IT development, while the new co-CEO Chae will be responsible for finance and accounting management, expecting to create management synergy.

Additionally, they plan to relocate their headquarters by the end of September. The headquarters will move to the hy building located in Sinsa-dong, Seoul, aiming to fully activate business synergies between the two companies in close proximity. CEO Kim Hyung-seol stated, "We will become a profitable company and serve as a sustainable growth role model in the delivery agency industry," adding, "We will accelerate market share expansion through concretizing the collaboration system with hy and advancing our self-driven delivery services."
