Namwon-si Operates 'Unmanned Civil Service Issuance Machine'... 119 Types of Documents Issuable

Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 1st that it will add a total of 15 unmanned civil service issuance kiosks to alleviate residents' inconveniences and provide convenience for civil complaints, operating unmanned civil service issuance kiosks in all towns and townships within the jurisdiction.

The city was previously operating 13 kiosks at 12 locations, but in the 8th term of the elected government this year, it added 15 more kiosks, now operating 28 kiosks at 27 locations, of which 15 kiosks are available 24 hours a day for free use.

The documents that can be issued at the unmanned civil service issuance kiosks include 87 types such as resident registration certificates and transcripts, land, building, real estate registry copies, national tax certificates, 16 types of certificates related to the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service such as employment insurance qualification history, 6 types of passport-related certificates, and 6 types of national pension-related certificates, totaling 119 types.

The real estate registry copy issuance service at the newly installed unmanned civil service issuance kiosks in administrative welfare centers will be available from the end of the year.

The unmanned civil service issuance kiosks allow issuance with up to a 50% reduced fee by recognizing only the resident registration number and fingerprint without an ID card. If fingerprint recognition is difficult due to worn fingerprints, users can visit the administrative welfare center in their area to re-register their fingerprints for easier use.

A city official said, "We expect that the expanded operation of unmanned civil service issuance kiosks, which can issue certificates that are difficult to obtain at counters, will make it more convenient for citizens."
