Gwangju Buk-gu Selected as an 'Excellent Institution' for Public Data Provision and Operation Performance
On the 1st, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it was selected as an excellent institution in the '2022 Public Data Provision Operation Status Evaluation' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
This selection is a consecutive achievement following the designation as an excellent institution in the '2022 Data-Based Administration Status Inspection' in February, once again highlighting the excellence of Buk-gu administration in the data field.
The operation status evaluation is conducted annually on 570 organizations, including central government ministries, local governments, and public institutions, to reduce gaps in public data operation levels and improve national policies.
Buk-gu scored evenly across all evaluation areas such as openness, utilization, quality, and management system, receiving 89.26 points, about 30 points higher than the average score of 243 basic local governments nationwide, and was selected as an excellent institution.
In particular, the high score was attributed to various efforts such as planning, promotional activities, and demand surveys to discover and open user-centered public data and improve utilization.
It was also evaluated that public data is excellently managed through quality diagnosis and prompt error handling.
