Sconex Develops XR Content Based on Snapdragon Spaces
XR-based metaverse tech company Sconex Entertainment (CEO Daesil Hwang, hereinafter Sconex) announced on the 1st that it will jointly develop content for virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) devices supporting Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon Spaces™ XR Developer Platform at the world augmented reality expo (AWE).
Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to combine Sconex's extended reality (XR) content development capabilities with Qualcomm's Snapdragon Spaces platform infrastructure to jointly develop technologies for expanding the XR ecosystem.
As part of this collaboration, Sconex will unveil demo XR content to be installed on XR devices supporting Snapdragon Spaces at the world's largest XR exhibition, 'AWE USA 2023,' held in California, USA, starting on the 31st (local time). Based on the core technologies of both Qualcomm and Sconex, they also plan to conduct technical consultations on content to be installed on various XR devices to be launched in the global market in the future.
Daesil Hwang, CEO of Sconex, said, "By utilizing Qualcomm's Snapdragon Spaces, we expect to realize a more efficient and sophisticated virtual space," adding, "Based on the results achieved through this collaboration, we will seek ways to apply them to XR projects currently being developed in-house at Sconex, significantly expanding the technological gap in XR content development."
