Lunch served to 120 national merit recipients and veterans' families, and a meeting held with heads of 9 veterans' organizations

View original imageDongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) held a lunch event on the 31st at the Dongdaemun-gu Veterans Hall to serve lunch to 120 national merit recipients and veterans' families, and held a meeting with the heads of 9 veterans' organizations in observance of the Month of Patriots and Veterans.
This event, hosted by the Dongdaemun-gu Veterans Hall and the Council of Veterans Organization Heads, was held to express gratitude and respect for the patriotic heroes who dedicated themselves to the nation.
Mayor Lee Pil-hyung attended the event and personally served lunch to the national merit recipients and veterans' families while inquiring about their well-being. After the lunch event, he held a meeting with the heads of nine veterans' organizations, including the Liberation Association, the Disabled Veterans Association, the Bereaved Families of Fallen Soldiers Association, the Widows of Fallen Soldiers Association, the Meritorious Service Association, the Agent Orange Veterans Association, the Special Mission Meritorious Persons Association, the Korean War Veterans Association, and the Vietnam War Veterans Association Dongdaemun-gu branches, listening to the difficulties faced in their activities.
Mayor Lee Pil-hyung emphasized, “We must always remember and respect the lives of the merit recipients who dedicated themselves to the country, not only during the Month of Patriots and Veterans.” He added, “We will reflect the suggestions of the heads of veterans' organizations to promote various policies for the honor and welfare improvement of national merit recipients and strive to create a society where veterans are more respected.”
