Naju City to Host 'Da(Ga)chi Eoullim Hanmadang' on the 3rd of Next Month
Naju City in Jeollanam-do will hold the ‘2023 Da(Ga)chi Eoullim Hanmadang’ event at Bitgaram Lake Park starting at 11 a.m. on the 3rd of next month.
According to the city on the 31st, this event, organized by the Naju Public Interest Activity Support Center, was prepared to strengthen communication, exchange, and cooperation networks among public interest, community, and social economy groups that have been working under the banner of regional coexistence.
In particular, various promotional and experience booths will be operated to share public interest values with citizens through the medium of sharing and culture.
The event’s commemorative ceremony will proceed in the order of a pre-ceremony bubble performance at 1 p.m., pungmulnori (performed by Ddeulhyangto Cultural Love), choir (Municipal Choir) commemorative performance, opening ceremony, guest speeches, and theme performance.
Centered on the central stage of the lake park, about 20 booths for promotion, experience, and food by local public interest activists, communities, and social economy enterprises will be operated throughout the event site, along with 30 flea market booths where visitors can experience various crafts and purchase products.
Cultural and artistic performances that will delight the eyes and ears of visitors include Latin dance, harmonica, pan flute, haegeum, aerophone performances, and spoon nanta.
Choi Seok-sun, team leader of Public Interest Activity Revitalization, said, “This year’s Hanmadang event will be held outdoors for the first time since the center opened in 2017 and through the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope that citizens will share and spread the valuable achievements of public interest activists and social economy entities who have worked hard for regional coexistence and community formation despite difficult circumstances.”
