Suwon City's Top Proactive Administration in the First Half of the Year: 'Pothole Rapid Response Team'

Suwon City selected five cases as the "2023 First Half Proactive Administration Best Practices" through a first preliminary review involving citizens, experts, and public officials, an online preference vote, and a second final evaluation by the Proactive Administration Committee.
The selected best practices in proactive administration include ▲ Completion of pothole reports and repairs within 24 hours, resulting in a 90% reduction in accident rates ▲ Agile service innovation with swift and prompt response, establishment of Suwon City's cloud-based integrated public institution work service ▲ "Just give me a house? I'll become your family" - Independent Youth Share House CON ▲ Designation of Suwon City's first odor-emitting facility, resolving 40-year-old noise and odor issues ▲ Resolving address inconveniences using an application, including the authoritative assignment of detailed addresses.
Since February, Suwon City has been operating the "Pothole 24-Hour Rapid Response Team" to promptly respond to potholes. To ensure quick repairs, the team takes immediate action whenever a pothole is discovered regardless of the time, and repairs are completed within 24 hours upon receiving complaints.
From February 6 to March 5, the Rapid Response Team addressed a total of 578 potholes over one month. This number exceeds the average of 397 potholes addressed during the same period from 2019 to 2022.
Suwon City awards prize money to departments selected for best proactive administration cases: 500,000 KRW for the top prize, 400,000 KRW for excellence, 300,000 KRW for encouragement, and 200,000 KRW for effort.

Additionally, proactive administration outstanding public officials will receive incentives such as the highest grade in performance bonuses, additional points for achievements, commendations, and reward leave.
