Kim Woong: "Cho Kuk, No One Suffered Because of My Daughter? False Claim"
"Analysis of Jeong Gyeong-sim's Verdict: No Trace of Remorse Felt" Criticism
Former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk's claim that no one else was disadvantaged by his daughter in the admission process of the Busan National University Medical School (의전원) was rebutted as a "false claim" by Kim Woong, a member of the People Power Party.
On the 27th, Representative Kim posted on Facebook an article titled "The Myth of Admission, the Divine Cho Kuk," pointing out that "Cho Kuk's claim that 'no one else failed because of my daughter' is false."

On the afternoon of the 26th, at a book concert held at EXCO in Buk-gu, Daegu, for his book "A Legal Classic Walk in an Advanced Country of Advances," former Minister Cho Kuk was asked about the cancellation of his daughter Cho Min's admission to the Busan National University Medical School. He responded, "An investigative committee was held within Busan National University, and the summary of the investigation results was that the certificate of commendation from Dongyang University did not affect the admission, and no other student failed because of my daughter."
Representative Kim said, "I analyzed the first trial verdict of Professor Jung Kyung-shim, which revealed the crimes of the Cho family in the most detailed manner," adding, "The verdict clearly stated that 'unfair results occurred where other candidates who had prepared diligently for a long time and applied to Seoul National University Medical School and Busan National University Medical School through lawful procedures were rejected.' Since there is no non-human among the candidates, Cho Kuk's statement is a lie."
He further stated, "Moreover, the verdict condemned the nature of the crime as very bad, saying, 'Considering the motive for the crimes related to admission fraud from university admissions to this medical school admission case, and the increasingly concrete and bold methods used to achieve such purposes, the nature of the crime is extremely poor.'"
After explaining the verdict in detail, Representative Kim criticized the Cho family, saying, "Despite such a verdict, Cho Kuk still denies all crimes and does not feel any remorse for the other candidates who were harmed by their crimes."

In April last year, Busan National University canceled Cho Min's admission based on the freshman recruitment guidelines stating "admission will be canceled if false documents are submitted," after a ruling in the trial related to former Professor Jung Kyung-shim found that the certificate of commendation from the president of Dongyang University submitted during the medical school recruitment was forged. Cho Min filed for a suspension of the execution of the admission cancellation and requested the cancellation of the admission cancellation itself through an administrative lawsuit, but the court dismissed the request.
