Investment Intentions Confirmed by Three Companies
Choi Sam-ryong "Hopes for Continued Exchange"
A delegation of 12 companies belonging to the Fukuoka Small and Medium Enterprise Association in Japan visited the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (Director Choi Sam-ryong) business districts for three days starting from the 24th to engage in exchange and networking activities with companies in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region before returning.
This visit was made to strengthen communication and resume mutual exchanges between companies of the two countries through meetings that had been blocked by COVID-19, amid the gradually ripening atmosphere of revitalizing exchanges between Korean and Japanese companies.
The main schedule of the Japanese business delegation included inspections of Suseong Alpha City and Gyeongsan Knowledge Industry District, the major business districts of DGFFEZ, attendance at the investment environment briefing session hosted by DGFFEZ featuring cross-presentations between Korean and Japanese companies, and participation in exchange programs with local companies.

Three Japanese companies and three local companies confirmed their intentions regarding potential investment and market development through cross-presentations about each other's companies.
Shigeyuki Suzuki, the representative of the business delegation and a committee member of DGFFEZ, said, “Visiting Suseong Alpha City and Gyeongsan Knowledge Industry District in person made me realize that there are many small but strong companies with cutting-edge technology in regions outside the metropolitan area. I will work hard in Japan to promote market development and investment attraction through collaboration with local companies, and we will discuss plans for annual visits to ensure continuous exchanges between Korean and Japanese companies.”
