No Worries Even in Heavy Rain! Gyeongnam Province Conducts Special Safety Inspections for Summer Disaster Preparedness
Areas at Risk of Human Casualties, Disaster-Vulnerable Facilities, and Drainage Facilities
Gyeongsangnam-do will conduct a special safety inspection to prepare for rainy season (雨期) accidents for three weeks starting from the 30th.
On the 26th, Gyeongnam Province announced that it will jointly inspect 4,900 sites including disaster prevention workplaces, dangerous reservoirs, steep slopes, areas at risk of human casualties, and disaster-vulnerable facilities with safety management officials from 18 cities and counties.
The inspection will be comprehensive with no blind spots, targeting not only relevant facilities and construction sites but also areas at risk of being swept away by waves, river flood zones, and lowlands prone to frequent flooding.

Priority will be given to inspecting collapse-prone areas near residential zones to prevent human casualties, and flood control materials and relief supplies for emergency recovery will also be checked.
