Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) is recruiting students to participate in the ‘2023 Summer Vacation College Student Part-time Job’ program targeting local college students.
The district runs the college student part-time job program every year to provide local college students on vacation with opportunities to participate in district administration, gain social experience, and help with tuition fees.
This year as well, recruitment for participants will be held for 4 days from May 30 to June 4 in preparation for the summer vacation college student part-time job operation.
Applicants must be enrolled or on leave from a university under the Higher Education Act and registered as residents of Mapo-gu as of the application start date, May 30.
A total of 25 students will be recruited, with priority selection for 8 students who are basic livelihood security recipients, from low-income households, registered disabled persons, from families with three or more children, North Korean defectors, multicultural families, or national merit recipients.
Selected students will work for 20 days from July 3 to 28, assisting with administrative tasks such as computer work and civil service guidance at various departments of Mapo-gu Office and local community centers. They will work 5 days a week, 5 hours a day, with a daily wage of 55,785 KRW (including lunch allowance).
College students wishing to participate can apply through the Mapo-gu website (‘Communication and Participation’ section under the ‘Integrated Online Application’ board) during the recruitment period.
For fair selection, the final candidates will be chosen by a public computerized lottery at 11 a.m. on June 9 in the Autonomous Administration Division office of Mapo-gu Office. Applicants may observe the process, and the final results will be announced on the Mapo-gu website at 6 p.m. the same day.
For more details, please refer to the Mapo-gu website or contact the Autonomous Administration Division.
