An Min-seok: "Kim Nam-guk said he understands the feelings of someone who made an extreme choice"
"Speculative Reporting Should Be Avoided... We Must Watch the Prosecution's Investigation"
Democratic Party Lawmaker An Min-seok, YTN Radio Interview
On the 25th, Ahn Min-seok, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated that he contacted Kim Nam-guk, an independent lawmaker, and conveyed that he understood the feelings of people who make extreme choices. Kim has been in hiding after leaving the Democratic Party amid allegations of virtual asset investment.
In an interview with YTN Radio's 'News King Park Ji-hoon' on the morning of the 25th, Ahn said, "Yoon Jae-ok, the floor leader of the People Power Party, claimed that 'Kim laundered money during the presidential election period and used that money for the election campaign,' right?" He added, "Kim said that upon hearing this, he was so baffled that he understood the feelings of someone who made an extreme choice."
Ahn pointed out, "If these allegations of money laundering and election funding are not true, Floor Leader Yoon should apologize and take appropriate responsibility," calling it "a very dangerous statement."

He continued, "This should not be done. We should wait and see the prosecution's investigation."
He further stated, "Those who raise baseless suspicions as facts in a witch-hunt manner must be held accountable," and "If it turns out to be true, I would be the first to say Kim should quit politics, that his political career is over, but according to him, it is truly absurd."
Regarding the so-called 'Kim Nam-guk Prevention Act,' a bill mandating the registration of cryptocurrency assets that passed the National Assembly's standing committee, he said, "You can consider the disclosure of cryptocurrency assets as the party's official stance."

Ahn emphasized, "Who would oppose this? Everyone agrees," and added, "What is regrettable is that the ruling and opposition parties agreed on voluntary reporting of cryptocurrency assets, but why hasn't it been done? It should be implemented promptly to quickly restore public trust in the political sphere and the National Assembly."
