Revitalizing the K-Content New Industry
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 25th that it will implement the 'Creator Preferential Guarantee' product to support content production by outstanding creators. The Creator Preferential Guarantee targets YouTube creators who have registered their related business with the National Tax Service and operate businesses of a certain scale or larger. It provides guarantees necessary for bank loans through technical evaluations covering the creators' capabilities and overall production content.
Kibo offers benefits such as reduced guarantee fees (up to 0.4 percentage points) and increased guarantee ratios (from 85% up to 95%) depending on the creator business owner's startup cycle. If the overseas viewership ratio exceeds a certain standard, the creator is classified as an export content business and receives preferential support. Through this, Kibo plans to actively promote the expansion of content production by outstanding creators and the activation of global advancement.
Kibo recognized the need to develop a customized financial support system considering the characteristics of the creator industry due to the rapid growth of the one-person media content industry, and began model development last year. Since then, it has completed the development of an 'AI-based Creator Venture Evaluation Model' to discover creators with high potential for additional commercialization and establish a leading support system.
