Life Sharing Practice Headquarters Donates Medical Expense Fund to Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital
The Life Sharing Practice Headquarters donated 3 million won in sponsorship funds to support the medical expenses of Dulce, a patient from Guatemala receiving treatment for Fanconi anemia at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital.
Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital announced on the 24th that it recently held a "Medical Expense Sponsorship Fund Delivery Ceremony" in the hospital's meeting room, attended by Hospital Director Jeong Yong-yeon and Ven. Hyeonji, head of the Life Sharing Practice Headquarters Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Office.
This sponsorship fund combines the 2 million won previously delivered by the Life Sharing Practice Headquarters to assist Dulce's treatment in April and an additional 1 million won provided ahead of Buddha’s Birthday.
Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital plans to use this sponsorship fund to enable Dulce to focus on long-term treatment without financial burden.
Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital and the Life Sharing Practice Headquarters signed a business agreement last February and have been continuously cooperating to support medical expenses for vulnerable patients in medical blind spots and to promote organ donation.
Ven. Hyeonji stated, “Thanks to the excellent medical staff’s treatment, Dulce and many other patients are regaining their health,” and added, “I hope efforts to help sick patients will continue.”
