Sunchang Gangcheonsan County Park to Operate Night Tourism Content Until November

Suncheon-gun, Jeonbuk Province, has launched nighttime tourism content to attract overnight tourists to Gangcheonsan.

According to the county on the 24th, Gangcheonsan County Park will be open at night until November, welcoming tourists with a different scenery under subtle landscape lighting compared to the daytime.

The operating hours are every Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with free admission. This nighttime opening was prepared to provide local residents and visitors with a special experience in their daily lives through Sunchang's nighttime tourism content.

Especially during the summer vacation period from July 24 to August 20, it will operate daily without holidays to offer tourists a comfortable rest and enjoyment.

The 'Gangcheonsan Night Opening' suspends operations in winter to prevent safety accidents and resumes in spring when the weather warms up. The county conducted a pilot operation last month and is doing its best to ensure no inconvenience to users through facility inspections for the reopening.

The nighttime opening section is 1.3 km from the ticket office to Cheonwoo Waterfall, where visitors can hear the clear sound of water from Byeongpung Waterfall along with firefly lights. Additionally, along the trail in this section, ‘Danwolyahaeng,’ a video content featuring various lights and stories against the backdrop of pristine natural scenery, is presented.

County Governor Choi Young-il said, “We have prepared many rich contents to show the night of Sunchang Gangcheonsan more beautifully,” adding, “I hope families, couples, and friends who come out for spring outings will create happy memories together with the splendid media show Danwolyahaeng.”
