Jangseong-gun, Review of 319 Major Military Administration Tasks Performance in the First Half of the Year

Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 23rd that it held the ‘Mid-Year Performance and Second Half Plan Report Meeting on Major County Administration Tasks’ on the 22nd at the situation room on the 2nd floor of the county office.

The county reported on the first half performance, second half plans, and issues related to 319 major county administration tasks that were reported last year.

In the first half of this year, the county achieved results such as attaining a grade 2 in public institution integrity, receiving an excellent (A) grade in the evaluation of the 8th local government administration’s pledge implementation plan, providing entrance congratulatory money to new students in elementary, middle, and high schools, and opening an online shopping mall for agricultural specialty products.

In the welfare sector, 10 projects including increasing the amount of filial piety vouchers, expanding the number of working days and allowances for senior citizen jobs, supporting funeral expenses for seniors over 80 and persons with disabilities, introducing youth allowances, providing allowances to village senior chairpersons, and supporting housing costs for university students are planned to complete implementation procedures such as ordinance enactment within the first half, drawing attention to their progress.

These will be fully implemented starting from the second half of the year.

Reports on the ‘large-scale regional development projects’ that will be the driving force for Jangseong’s future development, the ‘tourism resource development projects’ that will open the era of 10 million Jangseong tourists, and the ‘leading agricultural promotion’ to strengthen agricultural competitiveness also attracted interest.

Kim Han-jong, the county governor who presided over the report meeting, said, “We have comprehensively reviewed the performance and plans of major county administration tasks to lay the foundation for a hopeful future and a new Jangseong,” and instructed the related officials to “actively and swiftly carry out their assigned duties.”

The county plans to supplement the matters discussed at this report meeting and prepare for the work report of the 351st 1st regular session of the Jangseong County Council next month.
