Kakao Entertainment's flagship IP (intellectual property), 'Sanae Matchseon,' will be published as a standalone volume in North America. Kakao Entertainment announced on the 23rd, "After collaborating with the publisher Yen Press, it will be released locally in North America on the 23rd (local time)." Following its entry into the North American webtoon market, Sanae Matchseon is expected to gain momentum in the offline publishing market as well.
Sanae Matchseon is a global IP with a combined domestic and international cumulative view count exceeding 560 million for its web novel and webtoon. The drama of the same name, produced directly by Kakao Entertainment, was released not only in Korea but also on global OTT platforms such as Netflix, ranking first in weekly viewership in various countries worldwide, including English-speaking and non-English-speaking regions.
Yen Press is one of the largest publishers in North America, known for publishing renowned comics and novels. The standalone volume publication is handled by Ize Press, Yen Press's Korean IP specialized brand. Ize Press previously published the standalone volume of the Tapas original webtoon 'The Beginning, Not the End.' The Sanae Matchseon standalone volume will be distributed from the 23rd through major North American bookstores such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kinokuniya, and various local bookstores.
