Suwon City, Crackdown on Illegal Vehicles... Until June 14
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is conducting a comprehensive crackdown on illegal vehicles.
On the 23rd, Suwon City announced that it will carry out the "2023 First Half Illegal Vehicle Crackdown" until the 14th of next month to resolve citizen inconveniences caused by abandoned vehicles and unregistered cars (known as Daepocha), and to spread social awareness that abandoning vehicles is 'illegal' in order to eradicate illegal vehicle activities.
The crackdown targets include ▲abandoned vehicles ▲Daepocha (unregistered or registered under another person's name) ▲unused registered motorcycles ▲vehicles operating without inspection or mandatory insurance ▲vehicles violating safety standards such as illegal tuning (unauthorized modification).
Suwon City plans to impose fines or file criminal charges against owners of vehicles found violating the law according to relevant regulations.
