Hwasun-gun Conducts 2nd Training Session for Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group
Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 22nd that it is conducting capacity-building training for the citizen participation group to create a women-friendly city.
This training is being held for 30 members of the 2nd citizen participation group for the women-friendly city, taking place every Thursday from the 11th of last month until the 29th of next month, for a total of 8 sessions at Seminar Room 1 of the Hwasun-gun Hanium Culture and Sports Center.
Starting with Professor Yang Dong-ok of Chonnam National University’s lecture titled "The First Step for an Equal Hwasun - Checking Gender Sensitivity," the program includes topics such as women’s leadership demonstrated in the local community, gender-sensitive monitoring through Hwasun-gun promotional materials, benchmarking of excellent cases of women-friendly cities, and activity performance reporting sessions.
A county official stated, “Starting with this training, we hope that the 2nd citizen participation group will proactively conduct monitoring throughout the local community and strengthen their capabilities in various fields to actively propose policies, thereby acting as policy partners who lead and transform Hwasun-gun. We will continue to steadily promote the creation of a women-friendly city and support women to grow as subjects of their rights.”
