Koepka earned 4.5418 points in the men's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 21st (local time), jumping 31 spots from 44th place last week. Koepka accumulated points by winning the major tournament PGA Championship (total prize money $17.5 million) held at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, USA. This marks his 5th major win in 4 years since the PGA Championship in May 2019, his 9th PGA Tour victory in 2 years and 3 months since the WM Phoenix Open in February 2021, with a winner's prize of $3.15 million (approximately 4.18 billion KRW).
PGA Championship runner-up Scottie Scheffler (USA) pushed Jon Rahm (Spain) to 2nd place and ascended to 'Number 1'. Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) is 3rd, Patrick Cantlay 4th, Xander Schauffele (both USA) 5th, and Viktor Hovland (Norway), who tied for 2nd at the PGA Championship, rose 5 spots to 6th.
