Daegu Transportation Corporation Selected as 'Best Institution' for Disaster Management Evaluation Two Years in a Row
Daegu Transportation Corporation has been selected as the 'Best Institution' in the railway sector for two consecutive years in the '2023 Disaster Management Evaluation' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, receiving a commendation from the Minister of the Interior and Safety.
In this evaluation, the corporation received high scores for promoting disaster safety projects such as establishing an ICT-based smart disaster comprehensive situation room, building a cloud-based smart urban railway disaster safety platform, and developing an automatic monitoring and fault prediction system for platform safety doors.
On the 10th, employees of Daegu Transportation Corporation are conducting intensive safety inspections.

In particular, it was selected as the best institution for two consecutive years in the disaster management evaluation last year and this year, acknowledging its outstanding performance in disaster management.
The disaster management evaluation is a comprehensive assessment conducted annually since 2005 by the Minister of the Interior and Safety, diagnosing the key capabilities at each stage of disaster management (prevention, preparedness, response, recovery) for a total of 338 disaster management responsible institutions, including central government agencies, nationwide public institutions, and local governments. It aims to enhance the national level of disaster management.
The main evaluation contents cover overall disaster management tasks such as establishing and implementing safety management plans, operating disaster management organizations, maintaining response systems for disaster situation management, and promoting disaster management policies.
