Prosecutors Indict YouTuber Kim Yong-ho Over Alleged Secret Pact Between Oh Se-hoon and Kim Eo-jun
The Criminal Division 1 of the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Nam-hoon) on the 18th indicted YouTuber Kim Yong-ho (47) without detention on charges of spreading false information (defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act) that Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon (62) and broadcaster Kim Eo-jun (55) had made a secret pact.
In a video titled "Kim Eo-jun Oh Se-hoon Secret Pact" uploaded to his YouTube channel on March 20 last year, Kim claimed, "Oh Se-hoon guaranteed Kim Eo-jun's position in exchange for Kim Eo-jun agreeing to help Oh Se-hoon," and added, "That is why Kim Eo-jun could openly attack Yoon Seok-yeol and openly support Lee Jae-myung in the presidential election without hesitation." Two days later, Mayor Oh filed a defamation complaint against Kim with the police.

Kim Eo-jun hosted "Kim Eo-jun's News Factory" on TBS Radio, a Seoul Metropolitan Government-affiliated institution, and sparked controversy over political bias before stepping down from the broadcast in December last year. Although the Seoul Metropolitan Government holds budgetary and management evaluation rights over TBS, it cannot intervene in programming or casting decisions according to relevant laws.
