Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Attends Daehung-dong Neighborhood Council Sponsorship Event for Zero Solitary Deaths
On the morning of the 18th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the ‘ONEDAY CAFE’ held at Saero Culture Center.
The ‘ONEDAY CAFE’ event was organized by the Daehung-dong Neighborhood Council (Chairman Pastor Jang Heon-il of Saengmyeongnamu Church) to provide video education for the ‘Zero Solitary Death Project’ and to facilitate communication among community members. All funds raised through sponsorship will be used entirely to support elderly people living alone.
More than 50 people, including members of over nine local churches and residents, attended the event.

In his congratulatory remarks, Mayor Park said, “Aging is an unavoidable issue, so prompt response is necessary,” adding, “To prevent social isolation and loneliness among the elderly, the public and private sectors will cooperate to do their best for a happy senior life in Mapo.”
