Samsung Electro-Mechanics Hosts Event for Overseas IT and Automotive Customers in Busan
Strengthening the Customer Network of the Component Division
Samsung Electro-Mechanics will hold the '2023 SEMCO Component College (SCC)' in Busan from the 17th to the 19th, targeting overseas IT and automotive customers.
SCC is an event where the Component Division, which produces key electronic device components such as MLCCs and electronic components, invites overseas customers to the company to strengthen networking among customers. This year's event is held for the first time in four years since 2019. About 200 representatives from over 130 overseas customer companies will attend. The scale of participation has increased by more than 20% compared to 2019.
At this event, Samsung Electro-Mechanics introduced the main products and technologies of the Component Division. They proposed customized solutions for customers that can be applied to future technology trends such as automotive, industrial, and next-generation IT products. In addition, a tour of the MLCC production line was arranged so that customers could directly observe the product manufacturing process, helping them understand the products and showcasing the company's technological capabilities.

Jang Deok-hyun, President of Samsung Electro-Mechanics, said in his welcoming speech, “We will strengthen our business portfolio by continuously developing IT products that can lead the industry and expanding the lineup of automotive MLCCs," adding, "we will also expand the electronic components business such as power inductors (components that supply energy to semiconductors and suppress sudden changes in current).”
Samsung Electro-Mechanics plans to expand its network with major overseas customers to strengthen cooperation among customers that was disrupted after COVID-19. Through this, they aim to increase sales and discover potential customers. In particular, by expanding the automotive product lineup, they plan to raise awareness of automotive products in overseas markets. They intend to strengthen strategic partnerships among customers through regular exchanges.
