Gyeonggi Special Judicial Police Conduct Intensive Crackdown on Illegal Activities at Campsites in the Province
Gyeonggi Province is cracking down on illegal activities at 40 campgrounds in preparation for the camping season.
The Gyeonggi Province Special Judicial Police announced on the 18th that from the 30th of this month to the 9th of next month, they will conduct intensive inspections targeting 40 campgrounds located in Suwon, Hwaseong, Uijeongbu, Yangju, and Dongducheon.
The main targets of the crackdown include ▲ operating campgrounds without registering with the competent authority ▲ installing and operating other amusement facilities within campgrounds without reporting to the competent authority ▲ damaging mountain areas around campgrounds without permission for land use change ▲ installing illegal facilities in development-restricted zones around campgrounds ▲ providing lodging services without reporting to the competent authority, among others.
Additionally, they will crack down on operating food service businesses without reporting to the competent authority, illegally expanding business premises, selling meat without reporting to the competent authority, and falsely or confusingly labeling the origin of meat and other products.

Hong Eun-gi, head of the Provincial Civil Affairs Special Judicial Police, stated, "We will crack down on all illegal activities that may occur at campgrounds and camping sites to ensure that residents can enjoy safe and pleasant camping."
