The Masanhappo-gu Office of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, has initiated the normalization of Happo-type urban functions through on-site inspections in the areas of roads, traffic, and cleaning around Masan Fish Market, a representative traditional market in the region.
On the 17th, a joint inspection was conducted with 12 participants, including District Mayor Kim Seon-min, heads of related departments, and staff, who toured the Masan Fish Market area focusing on restoring road functions and enhancing the clean market image.

View original imageDuring the inspection, a plan to install fences was finalized on-site to ensure the safety of pedestrians and street vendors in the busy Happo-ro fish market section and to maintain order among street vendors.
Additionally, to eradicate illegal parking and prevent traffic accidents, plans were made to install additional CCTV for illegal parking enforcement, improve CCTV performance, repaint road traffic guide lines, remove unnecessary guide signs, clean illegal advertisements attached to utility poles, and maintain street tree protection facilities.
Furthermore, road and sidewalk water cleaning in the Masan Fish Market area, improvements in market waste disposal locations and collection methods, and measures for the merchants' association to set specific dates for regular cleaning were also planned.
