On the same day, the Ministry of Justice appointed Park Jae-eok, Chief Prosecutor of Changwon District Prosecutors' Office (29th Judicial Research and Training Institute class), as the head of the newly established Supreme Prosecutors' Office Narcotics and Organized Crime Division, effective from the 23rd. Chief Prosecutor Park is a prominent 'violent crime specialist' within the prosecution, having served as head of the Violent Crime Division at Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office, Narcotics Division Chief at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, Organized Crime Division Chief at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, and head of the Violent Crime Division at Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office.
Dan Seong-han, current head of the Joint Investigation Unit (32nd class), was appointed as the head of the formally established Financial and Securities Crime Joint Investigation Division at Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office. Dan is recognized for his stable operation of a cooperative investigation system with related agencies targeting capital market disruption offenders.

On the 4th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced the legislative notice of the presidential decree 'Partial Amendment to the Regulations on the Organization of the Prosecutor's Office' through the official gazette.
The amendment includes provisions to separate and reestablish the Supreme Prosecutors' Office Violent Crime Division, which had been integrated into the Anti-Corruption Division during the Moon Jae-in administration, under the new name Narcotics and Organized Crime Division. It also formalizes the Financial and Securities Crime Joint Investigation Unit at Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office, which had been abolished during former Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae's tenure.
Shin Bong-su, current head of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office Anti-Corruption and Violent Crime Division, was appointed as the head of the Anti-Corruption Division following the organizational restructuring.
Additionally, the amendment formalizes the position of senior researcher at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office to strengthen public investigation functions and assigns official names to the public investigation-dedicated departments at Daegu and Gwangju District Prosecutors' Offices.
The amendment also reorganizes the crime information collection and verification departments by abolishing the existing Information Management Division and establishing under the Crime Information Planning Officer two divisions: Crime Information Division 1, responsible for verification, and Crime Information Division 2, responsible for collection.
The Ministry of Justice stated, "As of the 23rd, minimal personnel transfers were conducted for urgently needed positions such as the newly established Narcotics·Organized Crime Division Chief," adding, "Some positions not filled in this personnel move will be handled by acting officers and will be appointed in future personnel changes."
