New COVID-19 Cases 26,147... Increase of About 2,600 Compared to Last Week (Update)
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 17th that there were 26,147 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 (cumulative total of 31,465,107).
The number of new confirmed cases increased by 2,467 compared to the previous day (23,680). Compared to a week ago on the 10th (23,515), it increased by 2,632. Due to the lifting of indoor mask mandates and increased outdoor activities, the recent daily average of confirmed cases has been in the high 10,000s.
Among the new confirmed cases, 39 were imported from overseas.
The number of critically ill patients currently hospitalized is 147, which is 3 fewer than the previous day.
There were 11 new deaths from COVID-19, bringing the cumulative total to 34,634 (fatality rate 0.11%).
