The city has been running a support project for fuel conversion of small and medium-sized air pollutant emission businesses, providing 90% of the cost for air environment improvement facilities when small and medium-sized enterprises using fuels such as B-C oil and refined fuel oil, which emit large amounts of air pollutants, switch to clean fuel (LNG, LPG) facilities.
However, due to the continued economic downturn, there have been no applicants for this year's projects because of the 10% self-payment by companies and additional costs such as burner replacement. Gyeongnam Energy, which signed the agreement with the city, will support part of the equipment costs for companies to reduce their financial burden.
Gyeongnam Energy has also shown active willingness to participate in the city's efforts to create an eco-friendly industrial ecosystem, and it is expected to become a leading case of air quality improvement through public-private cooperation in the future.
