LS Electric Launches 'Green Voice' Choir for People with Disabilities
Hiring 8 Artists with Developmental Disabilities... Practicing ESG Management
LS Electric has taken steps to promote employment for people with disabilities and improve social awareness through art.
On the 17th, LS Electric announced that it had established the disabled choir group 'Green Voice' at LS Tower located in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, and held a 'Lunch Concert' together with its executives and employees.
At the event, about 100 company executives and employees, along with key figures such as Kim Dong-hyun, CEO (Vice President) of LS Electric, Cha Jeong-hoon, Director of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, and Kim Hyung-hee, Chairman of the Korea Disabled Culture and Arts Institute, attended and presented employee ID cards to the choir members.
The Green Voice choir responded with musical performances that all employees could enjoy together, including Cho Yong-pil's "Baram-ui Norae (Song of the Wind)," "Oh Happy Day" from the musical Sister Act, and the Italian song "Funicul? Funicul?."
The Green Voice choir consists of eight musicians with severe developmental disabilities. LS Electric recently hired the choir members as employees to expand employment for people with disabilities, support vocational rehabilitation, and improve social awareness through culture and arts. LS Electric plans to continue providing support for stable musical activities.
