Boseong-gun, Recruiting Operators for Community Center Bowling Alley Project

Applicants Must Submit Donation Bidding Proposals by June 5

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 15th the “Recruitment Plan for Donation and Delivery Candidates for the Bowling Alley in Boseong-gun Complex Community Center.”

The Boseong-gun Complex Community Center is planned to be built with a total project cost of 41 billion KRW, on a site area of 5,777㎡, with a total floor area of 15,762㎡, consisting of 2 basement floors and 6 above-ground floors.

The bowling alley planned on the 6th floor above ground will be installed by the private sector using their own capital and donated to Boseong-gun. The operator will be allowed to use it free of charge for a certain period under a permit, and operate it accordingly.

The bowling alley facility will cover an area of 1,045㎡ with 14 lanes, including facilities, equipment, and interior construction. There is no limit on the required project cost.

The candidates must be individuals or corporations who are not disqualified under Article 31 (Restriction on Bid Participation of Unfair Contractors) of the Act on Contracts to Which Local Governments are Parties, and who are not delinquent in rent payments or contract cancellations related to national or public property. General participation proposals are not accepted.

Applicants wishing to participate should visit Boseong-gun Office by June 5 and submit a donation and delivery proposal (business plan).

Kim Cheol-woo, the governor of Boseong-gun, said, “In a 2021 leisure facility preference survey conducted among residents, the most preferred facility was the bowling alley. By promoting the bowling alley through the donation and delivery method, we expect to reduce project costs and alleviate the financial burden on the county.”

Meanwhile, the Boseong-gun Complex Community Center will be equipped with cultural and leisure facilities for local residents, including a bowling alley, roller rink, VR experience center, family center, living culture center, small library, Seopyeonje Boseong Sound performance hall, and public parking lot. The project aims for completion in the first half of 2024.
