Songpa-gu to Hold ‘Employment Success 19 Day’ at Songpa-gu Office Auditorium on the 19th; 100 Full-time i.M Taxi Drivers to Be Hired On-site
Hiring 100 Full-time i.M Taxi Drivers to Support Reemployment of Middle-aged and Older Adults... On-site Interviews Conducted Immediately
Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, “We Will Strive to Provide Quality Jobs to Residents Seeking Employment”
Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced on the 16th that it will hold ‘Employment Success 19 Day’ at the 4th-floor auditorium of Songpa-gu Office on the 19th to hire 100 full-time i.M taxi drivers.
‘Employment Success 19 Day’ means ‘a day to find (9) jobs (1)’, a practical job fair unique to Songpa-gu where job-seeking companies and job seekers are pre-matched so that interviews and hiring can be conducted on-site without document screening.
Since 2014, the district has held the 19 Day event annually in collaboration with private companies, achieving employment results across various fields. Last year, through a total of three job fairs, 78 people succeeded in finding jobs in areas such as IT, security consulting, and kitchen assistance.
This year, the focus is on customized job matching to support the reentry of middle-aged and older adults into the job market. Considering the recent shortage of taxi drivers and the government’s ‘vacant job’ support policies comprehensively, the district decided to hire full-time i.M taxi drivers from Jin Mobility.
Eligible participants are job seekers aged 40 or older holding a Class 1 regular driver’s license, and those without prior taxi driving experience may also apply. After a recruitment briefing at ‘Employment Success 19 Day,’ on-site interviews with HR personnel will be conducted immediately to decide on hiring. Successful candidates will undergo training and then work as full-time drivers at corporate taxi companies affiliated with i.M Taxi located in Songpa, Gangdong, and Seongdong districts.
Those interested can pre-register at the ‘Songpa Job Center’ by May 17. Pre-registered applicants will be pre-matched considering their preferred work location, and those who miss pre-registration can also apply on-site on the day by bringing their driver’s license and driving experience certificate.
For more details, please refer to the announcements on the Songpa-gu Office website or contact the Songpa-gu Economic Promotion Division or Songpa Job Center.
After the ‘Employment Success 19 Day’ event, the district plans to continue providing services such as job placement and employment retention guidance through the Songpa Job Center for participating companies and job seekers.
