Kim Hyun-ki, Chairman of Seoul Metropolitan Council, Meets with Ulaanbaatar Mayor of Mongolia
Kim Hyun-gi, Chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, held a meeting on the 15th with Dolgorsuren Sumiyabazar, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, to discuss exchange and cooperation between the two cities.
Ulaanbaatar is the capital of Mongolia and the country's largest industrial center. The Seoul Metropolitan Council has maintained active exchanges since establishing a sister city relationship with the Ulaanbaatar City Council in 1997. Seoul and Ulaanbaatar formed a friendship agreement in 1995.
Attending the meeting were Nam Chang-jin, Vice Chairman; Choi Ho-jung, Floor Leader of the People Power Party; Park Jung-hwa, Chair of the Transportation Committee; Kim Tae-su, Chair of the Housing and Spatial Committee; and Kim Sang-in, Secretary General.

Chairman Kim Hyun-gi stated, “Seoul and Ulaanbaatar share the commonality of being the capitals of Korea and Mongolia,” adding, “We will actively share Seoul’s policy know-how, which has been experienced and resolved first in issues such as population concentration, transportation, housing, and environmental problems that come with urban development.”
