National Health Insurance Service Achieves Highest Level of Personal Information Management for 9 Consecutive Years
The National Health Insurance Service announced on the 15th that it received an S grade in the '2022 Personal Information Management Level Diagnosis' conducted by the Personal Information Protection Commission on 799 public institutions including central government ministries, local governments, and public enterprises, achieving the highest grade for nine consecutive years.
The Personal Information Protection Management Level Diagnosis is conducted annually under the supervision of the Personal Information Protection Commission to assess the personal information management systems and leakage prevention activities of public institutions, aiming to establish a safe management foundation for citizens' personal information.
The Service has made efforts to protect personal information by managing access rights linked to personnel systems, conducting self-monitoring through monitoring systems, and operating a Personal Information Provision Review Committee composed of external experts to prevent misuse and leakage of personal information.
Additionally, to promote a culture of personal information protection among employees, the Service held ▲a Personal Information Protection Day campaign every month ▲a Zero Leakage in Daily Life event ▲a Personal Information Protection Contest. To prevent voice phishing, it issued smishing alerts through its website and conducted campaigns to prevent financial damage to the elderly.
